The Nordic region’s leading producer of adhesives, jointing compounds and fillers gains new competences with the acquisition of Danish PKI Supply A/S, which are specialists in industrial adhesives. The takeover takes place with effect from 1. January 2021.
Per 1. From January 2021, Dana Lim will take over full ownership of PKI Supply A/S, which is the market-leading supplier of industrial adhesives.
The acquisition is part of Dana Lim’s growth strategy and will primarily supplement and expand the company’s expertise. As a natural consequence of this, Dana Lim is strengthening its geographical coverage in the Baltic Sea region. CEO Lars Christensen elaborates:
– First of all, we are happy to be able to welcome even more committed and skilled sales colleagues to the Dana Lim family. Both businesses are known for being close to customers with high professionalism, great innovation and flexibility. And so we continue into the future.
– At the same time, the acquisition enables us to offer an even wider range of adhesive systems with an expanded research and development setup, as well as an expanded service and logistics platform for several markets.
The ideal match
PKI Supply A/S is a leading supplier of adhesive systems for industries such as the wood and furniture industry, the graphic industry as well as the label and packaging industry. The business delivers over 9,000 tonnes of glue to its customers each year.
Just like Dana Lim, PKI Supply is known for high product quality, customer satisfaction, service, environmental considerations and solid finances. In addition, the business has subsidiaries in Poland and Ukraine, and works closely with partners throughout the Baltic Sea region as well as Ireland.
– This is the ideal match because we are motivated by the same values and give each other qualities and strength that we have not had before. This way we achieve a better balance in the business, both geographically and segmentally, explains Lars Christensen.
Part of a strong setup
The sale of PKI Supply is due, among other things, to the CEO of PKI Supply, Karl Brynningsen, wanting a generational change. Therefore, it has been absolutely crucial to find a business that has the same strong value base as PKI Supply. He goes on to say that Dana Lim is a good match, and that both businesses will strengthen each other:

All PKI Supply’s sales activities will continue under the direction of Dana Lim under an independent sales unit led by Karl Brynningsen and with the current sales staff.
